Josh and I first annotated an article. Annotation was new to him, but he did a good job with finding the important parts of the article and writing notes in the margin, active reading with highlighter, questions, and notes. We logged on to Reading Plus and he read a passage and answered reading comprehension questions afterwards for extra credit at school. He earned a 94% with only one incorrect answer, which was a good achievement since the reading was at a rather fast pace. Afterwards he completed one and a half vocabulary lessons on Reading Plus.
Josh and I attempted to use Reading Plus but we will need site code from Teacher at IMS. Instead we first reviewed abbreviations for medical terms. I quizzed Josh. We then practiced handwriting, both print and cursive.
