Macy and I finished reading chapter 8 and half of chapter 9 in her Pioneers Go West book. We did comprehension checks along the way for plot.

Macy continued her work on her costume design for Matilda. She also compared and contrasted the movie Matilda and the staged play Matilda.

Macy worked on a costume project for the musical Matilda.

Complete the notes on the Weather Formats in Science.
Make all the corrections in Math.

Went through the specifics with her about the project she has to do for science regarding weather. She has not decided whether she will do a tornado or hurricane. I provided some ideas if for constructing a model of a tornado if she ultimately chose that to complete her project. I introduced her math lesson for today with the rest of the time.

We wrapped up our math lesson and Macy completed the rest of her science lesson on weather forecasting using google classroom.

Macy Completed Facts Test K in 2 and 1/2 minutes. I helped her with practice problems a-q. She worked on problems 1-30 independently. I helped her with some of the problems that she was having difficulty with, using the white board.

Today Macy completed a chapter-checkup for her grammar lesson. This activity presented 53 practice problems in which she utilized and identified various adverbs and prepositions. This was a lengthy task. For literature, we read the first part of 8 in The Pioneers Go West. The pioneers began scouting their route to California with the help of one of the local Indians. Latin: Macy completed workbook page 84. She answered fill-in-the blank questions about various word study and grammar questions. She wrote the names and functions of cases. She also completed sentences with derivatives from the lesson.

Extra Time:
I gave Macy a practice test on the spelling words and then quizzed her on her math and science vocabulary words using mnemonics to assist with understanding and recall. She did a great job spelling all words correctly and knew almost all (90%) of the vocabulary.

Macy wrote and recited her Bible Verse with 100% accuracy. Awesome Macy! We discussed the significance of being the salt.
Using the Bible, Macy completed the Gospel writings of Jesus' Ministry Graphic Organizer comparing the 4 Gospels. Macy is a critical thinker who asks great questions.
