Kaitlin began a study of the book "The Great Gatsby," by F. Scott Fitzgerald. She explored vocabulary words and their definitions for chapter 1. She has to read and answer questions over Chapter 1 by Tuesday, September 16th. We delved into the short story "The Book of the Dead" by Edwidge Danticat, a Haitian author. This is a very thought-provoking story which has immense impact on the characters.

It asks the question: How can we bridge the divide when we disagree with someone? She has a spelling test tomorrow.
