We continued working on the garage building redesign project. We completed the plan and elevation drawings. I showed Ayden how to assemble, scale, and print the different drawing views on a border sheet in AutoCAD's paper space.
Ayden read an article about the history of hang gliding. The article included the many reasons people love this sport as well as the dangers. Next ,we experimented with aerodynamics by making paper airplanes. We each made 2 paper airplanes with different designs and then completed many test flights. We then made some changes to the paper airplanes to see if the airplane’s design affects its trajectory.
We continued taking field measurements of the school's garage building to create an as built drawing set that can be used as a basis to create a conceptual design that can expand the school's practical, usable space. We began creating the building elevations in AutoCAD today.
