Cam responded to writing prompts, albeit verbally. When asked what the bravest thing he ever did was, he replied that he had to unhook an alligator after his friend hooked it. We actually contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Committee and left a message; however, they never replied back - which we both found unusual. Cam explained he has three jobs this summer and will be very busy. He has an internship at a sports card memorabilia store, a film editing internship at a fishing company, and his own company!
Cam attended the pre-K graduation this morning. It was a lovely ceremony and Cam got a hug or two from the students who know him from his reptile demonstrations. He will bring in another reptile tomorrow and hopes to show it to them - the last time of the 2025 academic year.
Kaitlin was online today. She learned about the French writer Guy de Maupassant. a realist fiction writer, best known for his short story, "The Necklace." We listened to and discussed the short story, "The Necklace."
Cam discussed his impressions and experience at the Peruvian restaurant yesterday. He explained he did not eat anything and there was no pizza on the menu. He is going to organize his thoughts and effectively communicate them on paper. We spent the remaineder of the session playing with the baby chicks as this is their last day at the school before being returned to the farm. He took a fancy to Chicken Little - the runt of the litter. We took several pictures of their final day together.
Cam mentioned that he would like to see "The Outsiders' if it played on Broadway and that he recently heard a song from it on the radio. We researched it and read a bit about the play, its characters, and a review. We also listened to a part of the song, "Far Away from Tulsa," which is where the action in the novel took place. Cam was also prompted to give a succinct description of the main characters and to write it as if he were asked to write a review for a publication.
