Cam watched the conclusion of the movie at home last week and gave a good analysis when comparing the book and the movie, "the Outsiders." He shared his critique of the movie and commented that he liked how well it aligned with the book and that the ending came full circle to how the author, S.E. Hinton began the book. We reviewed expectations regarding his exam; Cam stated he knows it is due 5/12.

Cam and I were able to view about three quarters of the movie, "The Outsiders, with a cast of well known actors, such as Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze Rob Lowe, and so on. Cam did well identifying the actors and offering his analysis of type-casting and their acting. We discussed the depiction of the greaser's attire and the cars and slang used in the 60's. It was a fun class and Cam fast-forwarded some parts efficiently so we could zero in on the most significant parts of the movie together in the time we had in our session. It offered a fun, entertaining, and excellent review of the book, and Cam knew several parts that were coming up and we both said many of the lines in sync with the actors. I was delighted that the book resonated with Cam; it was a good choice to engage and elicit his attention, interest, and analysis.
