Use the last half of class to introduce the new cyanotype lesson to Kate. Watch a brief video about the history of cyanotype and look at some examples. Go over the instructions.
Today, Kate worked on her Artigras piece. She used Prismacolor pencils to shade in the body of the butterfly she's been working on. Then, I introduced the new project. We went over the history of cyanotype printing, different styles, and examples of current cyanotype artists. We then discussed what types of materials we'll be looking for in the next class when we get started.
