I helped Xavier complete two lessons on "No Red Lines," an online grammar tutorial that Palm Beach Day School required. The topic was the use of quotations within quotations. We worked today (Wednesday) instead of Thursday because of a scheduling conflict. Xavier will be out of town on a school trip to Vietnam until March 21.
I helped Xavier complete two lessons on "No Red Lines," an online grammar tutorial that Palm Beach Day School required. The topic was writing strong paragraphs and properly using quotations for dialogue and flow quotes.
Xavier is writing a five-paragraph essay on the tone in the novel The Watsons Go to Birmingham. I helped him to brainstorm and find quotes. I will edit the essay via Google Docs.
Next week we will revert to our old schedule, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5-6.
I helped Xavier with "No Red Lines." The assignment focused on the use of transitional words. I was pleased with Xavier's diligence. He was determined to understand the material (not just finish).
Xavier has an ongoing homework assignment that is web-based, "No Red Lines." It creates lessons and quizzes on grammar that the students are required to complete this week. I helped Xavier to finish three weeks of assignments on commas.
I am so happy to be working with Xavier again. He is hard-working, polite, and fun!
