Math was only class where homework was assigned today. Classes held today for which he was not assigned homework include Science, History, and English. He had no Spanish class today, so appropriately, no homework was assigned. He jumped back on his phone to look up President's IQs for a while, but got back to his Math after that.
Today Cabo had assignments in his folder from Spanish, math, and science. His history teacher sent homework as well through "CHAT" in Teams. He had a problem with his computer during our session and had to restart with a Windows update. He did not complete all of his work in this session so should finish at home.

Cabo claimed his computer had a problem so he needed to restart it. It took a long time to boot back up, so he said he only got the History done and part of the Math during the hour. He played on his phone the rest of the time while waiting for the computer to reboot. He also spent a few minutes meeting with you earlier in the hour. I remain concerned that his English teacher has not responded to emails and has not posted any homework this week. Also, his history teacher refuses to follow the process we set up. At least his Spanish, Geometry, and Chemistry teachers are getting up to speed.
Cabo did his geometry and history homework during our session. He was not assigned homework for English and science, and there was no Spanish class today.

Cabo did his assigned homework and spent the rest of the time playing on his phone. Kathleen (English) and Dan (Chemistry) did not post homework today despite having class with Cabo. I suggest an email from you directly asking why they are not complying - your call! (See my email to them)
Today marks the first day of implementing the new homework tracking process for Cabo. He worked on homework for the full hour. Files are uploaded in Teams by his teachers and labelled by date for easy tracking. Some teachers are still adjusting so full implementation should be complete this week.

Lesson Comments
Cabo seemed to focus on homework fairly well during the last 45 minutes of class. He remains resistant to the process change but I expect he is evolving. Some teachers are not following the new process yet but I expect improvement this week.
Today is the last day of the previous homework process as we have implemented a new way to track administration and completion going forward. Cabo only reported homework in History for this weekend.

Tuesday will begin the new homework tracking method. I am suspect of whether or not it will work given expected resistance from some teachers? Rosie and John were here today and I spent time with both explaining things.
Today we discussed the new process on how Cabo's homework will be given and administered. All teachers and Cabo have been informed of the adjustment and we will begin this process on Tuesday, 10/13th.

Cabo seemed resistant today when I explained that homework has a new process and would begin more consistently next week. I am concerned that he may not respond to the new process well given the load increase, but with more attention and support I think we can get there! The email explaining the adjustment to the process went out to all of his teachers today!
Cabo worked through homework he received in two classes today (Chemistry and History). He is aware that homework will be increasing next week and appears to be accepting of the increased workload.

Nicole spoke to Cabo early today following up after our meeting with him yesterday. He appears to be accepting of the changes coming, and I showed him the new process I plan to introduce starting next week. He seemed to think it will be easy to work with. Let's hope the teachers work well on this!
Today, Judie and I discussed the importance of developing better homework habits with Cabo. We continue to make best efforts to build up his independent study skills.

We met with Cabo to discuss his resistance to doing homework. We explained the importance of it and that grades would be impacted if he didn't keep up with it. Cabo stated that he doesn't learn anything from homework. We explained that homework should be practice to reinforce concepts learned in class. We need to improve our administration of his homework and work harder to insure he tries to do it without video game interruption.
Today Cabo and I discussed homework organization and used his laptop to create a document where he can list his assignments. The idea is to recap what homework he has from each teacher and keep a list so he can recall it easily that evening and remember any specifics. We will continue to work on this for the rest of the week.

Lesson Comments
Cabo was not very attentive or responsive during our class today. He is often typing randomly on his keyboard and repeating behavior that is not constructive or productive. I had to work hard to gain his interest in the topics at hand and to get him to buy in on the importance of what I am trying to help him do. Once I gained his attention, he was generally cooperative and demonstrates a good understanding of many concepts, including geometry and Spanish (conjugating verbs).
Today was my first meeting with Ben, and I found him to be polite and cooperative. We discussed organizing data on tablets and computers and spent some time outside exploring the playground area. We plan to work on study skills going forward.

Ben was very nice but mostly resistant to new ideas and often focused only on what he is interested in. I need more time to find a strategy that works in order to best help him.
