Cabo was not assigned any new homework today, so we worked on critical thinking exercises the whole time. He was simultaneously playing games during much of the time.
Bobby worked on research for the smoothie business in South Florida. We then created two slides to summarize his findings. After that we summarized the startup costs and began making a slide to be completed next class.

Bobby was cooperative and very polite as usual. We continue to make excellent progress on his business idea and plan to complete the project in February.
We did some critical thinking exercises and reviewed today's homework assignments. He was assigned homework in chemistry only. I had to end my class a bit early due to a doctor's appointment. The remainder of class was covered by Nicole Rieman.

I had to leave 30 minutes early today for a doctor's appointment. Nicole agreed to cover Cabo for the last 30 minutes of our scheduled session. I covered 1:30pm to 2:00pm only. We discussed his homework for chemistry and then answered a few critical thinking questions.
Today Cabo was not assigned homework. We spent the time working on critical thinking questions and brain teaser questions from the web.

Cabo was cooperative today. I looked up several critical thinking questions including brain teasers and he was very good at formulating logical answers. These critical thinking exercises are getting him to think more broadly about solutions. I look forward to him being present again next week as it is difficult to keep him away from video games when he is remote.
During this session we finished creating a graph in Excel on CAGR of smoothie growth worldwide, and then imported it into the PowerPoint presentation.

Bobby is enjoying the project we are working on and is using Excel and PowerPoint to advance his computer skills while learning about business. He was pleasure to work with as always.
During this session Bobby worked on calculating CAGR on the smoothie business based on a range of forecasts found on the internet. We plan to make a graph and import this to the presentation during the next session.

Bobby was very attentive and interested in the CAGR calculations we did. The goal is to incorporate this into the presentation to convince investors that this is a growing business worldwide.
There was no new homework today but it appears that the chemistry and Spanish that were previously assigned are still needing attention. We spent much of the remaining time discussing critical thinking issues including recommendations for a business plan.

Cabo was insistent upon playing video games during our session today. We discussed ideas for a video game business as part of his critical thinking lesson. Given that he plays a lot of games, I thought he would have perspective on where the money is to be made. He was very helpful and explained "Steam" which is a video game aggregator online.
