After a question by Joshua inquiring about the extremely large number of chemical compounds available, we discussed the molecular chemistry of organic compounds, most of which make up drugs for internal use and for external use. Eventually it will lead to the chemistry and pharmacology of neuroacitve drugs used in psychology.

Nina worked on an example of a personality assessment in class today. Once she completed the online assessment, she had to answer the following questions: 1. What was your first impression of the questionnaire? 2. Were there any questions that you read and thought were strange? Why or why not? 3. How did you feel when taking the assessment? 4. Although not a diagnostic tool were you surprised by your results? Why or why not? 5. What things would a researcher need to consider if using this assessment? 6. Did the assessment offer any follow up options? 7. Were there any literature reviews or sources cited?

Chapter 23 - Mary Whiton Calkins was the first female president of the American Psychological Association. She contributed greatly to the field of psychology with her studies and research on memory, dreams and self-psychology.
Chapter 24 - This chapter is on the American Psychiatric Association - its establishment, its purpose, its functions and its publications.
Chapter 25 - This chapter is on the American Psychological Association - its establishment, the 50 divisions that comprise it; a list of requirements needed to be a member and a list of its publications.

Chapter 26 - Wilhelm Wundt - father of psychology. His biography was given along with an explanation of his theories on Introspection.
Chapter 30 - Kenneth Clark - the first African American president of the American Psychology Association. He fought segregation and the Civil Rights movement. His famous Doll study was explained. He showed how segregation was detrimental to children. His studies showed the consequences of racism.

Chapter 19 - The definition of pseudoscience; it's cognitive bias and the belief dependent realism associated with it. There was a discussion of astrology and ancient astronauts in this chapter as well.
Chapter 20 - Freud and the 3 parts of human personalities: the ID; the Ego and the Super ego. Psycho-dynamics was defined and there was an explanation of the dominant theories. There was a section on Freud's analysis of dreams. The next section of this chapter dealt with Carl Jung and psychodynamics and the collective unconscious. The mental health treatment of psycho-dynamic psychology was discussed.
Chapter 31 - Freud's dream psychology and the analysis of psychoanalysis, latent content and manifest content. Dream work and its 3 processes: condensation, displacement and secondary elaboration were also in this chapter.
