I had Nicole go to her website, create three new pages, and link them to Best Beaches, Visited Beaches, and Dream Beaches of the home page. Nicole opened the Best Beaches page, uploaded the page template that I created and we begin populating the page with the information that she had gathered.
I had Nicole open her webpage and we did a site review to make sure that all parts of the site had content and proper functionality. We moved on to watch a movie of Nicole's choosing.
Eco Tourism (Cont.). We went through one specific way of doing eco tourism -volunteering- with programs in three different parts of the world: Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Since this was our last class, I will add here that it's been a great pleasure to teach Nicole. She showed interest in the different parts of the hospitality program and was always keen to share her own experiences whenever they were linked to what we were studying.
I graded Nicole's exam while she worked on solving "Plexers", which are word puzzles. With the bonus question, she scored a 92% on her test! As we went over corrections, she continued to aim for the right answer! Good job, Nicole!
Nicole and I co-read a chapter of her summer reading book, Kook. I am thrilled that we were able to get nearly half-way through the book.
I have loved teaching Nicole this year and wish her nothing but the best next year in high school. If she ever needs my help in English class, I am here for her.

Nicole's answers were thoughtful, and for the most part, correct. She has been a wonderful student, with a great personality and sense of humor. I will miss her as a student.
During today's class we took a close look at the 1990s in American history. Topics included President Clinton, defining moments in U.S. culture, entertainment and music.
Nicole and I had a conversation in Spanish. Questions were asked orally and she answered. Then a series of questions and statements were written in the chat box. Nicole answered the questions with complete sentences in written Spanish. A series of written English sentences were placed in the chat box and Nicole translated. Throughout the entire session, errors were explained and corrected. References were made to grammar construction and vocabulary. Nicole did an excellent job.
