Avery worked on creating patterns and filling in the colors or shapes that came next in a given pattern. She enjoyed this activity and did well on it. She also used Magna-Tiles to build and create structures, and made patterns following directives as well as her imagination, using the different colors and shapes.

I was asked to teach Avery today, Tuesday, 6/1/21 until she left with Nicole and Brandon (12:30 - 1:15).
We identified patterns and used skittles to create a pattern of our own. We also followed a color-by-number directive and created a picture from a choice of three. Avery chose a rainbow and improvised using her own color schematic. She answered all (4) questions correctly after listening to a story about how to make food using a cookbook.

letters, sequencing, measurement and school celebration
Lesson Outline
Avery enjoyed arranging straight and curved pieces of wood to create the letters of the alphabet. Avery asked to work with the sequencing cards and colored bears to complete various sequences by color and/or size. We worked on the concepts of weight and linear measurement. Using a balance scale and various school objects, Avery determined how many cube units were needed to make the scale balance. Cube units were also used to determine the linear measurement of various items. Avery enjoyed taking part in a school wide Ice Cream Sundae celebration.
Avery and I worked on creating a character that she would like to animate. I asked her a series of questions and used her answers to create her character. We imported the image into Photoshop and she traced the character.
I opened Photoshop for Avery and introduced her to using a Cintiq. I imported an image of Porky Pig to Photoshop and instructed Avery to trace the image. Once she finished the drawing, I worked with her to digitally color the image.
