design fundamentals. Dylan started a new project today. We talked about the style of "pointillism" and then he started a creation of a lizard to show this use of colors and "points" of color.
design fundamentals. Arianna worked on a new painting today. She chose the subject of a mermaid. She painted the background first and then the actual mermaid. The mermaid is sitting on a rock, looking out over the ocean. It is done in a very "impressionistic" way.
design fundamentals. Yanuell finished his "textured" project, using soup beans. His image was a panda, with a paintied background of bamboo. He then started a new painting of the "solar system." This is showing the planets, in their various colors, plus the sun.
design fundamentals. Christopher finished his "Pop Art" project today. He had already created four pictures of Spider Man, which were painted in various colors. Today he created a background for them, to add to the "wow" factor of this style of art.
design fundamentals. Dylan finished his cheetah drawing today. He then created a background for it, using soup beans to create a frame around it. He then added a few popsicle sticks on the outer edge. He also finished his solar system painting, which he took with him to his room.
design fundamentals. Arianna finished her painting of a lady, and her painting of a Pekinese dog. Both look great. She now would like to do a painting of the mermaid, Ariel, from the Disney movie.

design fundamentals. Piero chose to do a picture of a Tucan as his art project today. After sketching this idea out, he then added the colors to it with sharpies. He then painted the background. I have enjoyed working with Piero these past few weeks.
