Lesson Outline
Today's plans:
1. How to find the best computer print and illustration programs for Brooke's traditional "Comic Book" project. Begin working to publish her book on paper. Look at various similar projects on-line. (20 min.)
2. How to build the story with visual continuity and flow from scene to scene. Watch a tape: "Creating Visual Continuity" (30 min.) Review and draw the 5 kinds of shots needed to create
visual continuity within a scene. (handout)
Our class session was cancelled today prior to class. The entire private tutorial also ended at this time due to lack of interest. It was a wonderful pleasure to see Brooke's writing and drawings and I hope she will continue with all of her work in this direction.

At this first meeting we discussed Brooke’s background and work in the areas of art and writing. It was wonderful to learn about some of Brooke’s proudest accomplishments.
We were able to view some of her recent on-line blogs/games where she is both a writing contributor and a character designer (although someone else did the current design). She explained that one of her important aspirations is to design a comic book that “flows” from scene to scene in a professional fashion.

Devin learned how to create a themed photo for our yearbook cover and resample it in photoshop for the best resolution and cropping. Sadie continued with design of the yearbook.
