Pack up all Mercer's art. Mercer used Procreate again to explore the app and draw using a variety of the different digital drawing tools. I showed him how to lower the opacity of the tool or an entire layer and we talked about what a layer is and how to make one.

Free art day. Mercer finished his color theory drawing so he was allowed to start a project of his choosing to work on for the day. He started to explore the digital drawing app Procreate. We looked at different tools to draw with and he practiced mark making with some of them.

Finish Mercer's color theory drawing. He finished adding his black outlines to all of the scales of two of the snakes. He also worked on fixing part of the wood branch to which he wanted to make corrections.

Today Mercer completed the narration on his map and collected his personal items from his office. He received a suggested summer reading list and participated in school activities.

Today Mercer participated in end-of-year school activities. He went to the local park with teachers, staff, and students, participated in physical activities and games, and enjoyed a grilled lunch.

Today's lesson focused on completing the class project activities. Mercer spent part of class participating in school activities and then the remainder of the class period working on the landscape for his map of Indonesia.
