We reviewed what digital marketing is and how it is used. What is social media and what are the forms of social media and how it is used in today's society?
Today, Will recorded the final slides of his PowerPoint. He is preparing for his presentation next week. We also reviewed what one can do with MS Publisher--business cards, brochures, flyers, etc. for his dog walking business.
Today, Will reviewed PowerPoint basics, and added a new slide, image, and recording to his Lord of the Rings presentation. This time, he read a book quote on the slide.
Today, I asked Will to do the following on his own:
1. Open PowerPoint program
2. Insert a new slide
3. Change the slide's color
4. Type his name
5. Record narration
He was able to do so with a little help. I am hoping to make him an independent designer eventually.
We recorded two more slides on his "Lord of the Rings" presentation as well.
Today, Will added a new slide to the PowerPoint presentation. I showed him how to add music to his slides. During the next few sessions, he will be taking his own photos and videos and adding them to the PowerPoint.
Today, Will and I watched a review film on PowerPoint basics and discussed how PowerPoint can be used in different career paths. We watched some sample PowerPoint presentations with animation and music. We also searched Youtube for Lord of the Rings music, selecting "The Shadow of the Past," from the official soundtrack to add to the Lord of the Rings PowerPoint on Monday.
