Today was my last session with Jayne. We created an obstacle for Dash to go through. Then Jayne had time to free play with Dash. We ended our session by playing a few rounds of Kahoot holiday trivia.
Today was my last session with Dylan. We had some fun with Dash by creating an obstacle for him to go through with Lego pieces. Then Dylan had some free play with Dash and made him crash into things around the room.
Charlie finished up his blog on weebly. He added a couple more codes to his site which can be viewed at a1acharlie.weebly.com . He completed another lesson in typingclub. He is moving along so beautifully on the keyboard. I hope he continues to use best practice when typing by setting up his fingers correctly on the keyboard.
Today was Henry's first day back with me. I had planned to make a storyboard with him and complete a typing club lesson, but he did not want to do either. Instead we completed two puzzles with Dash and that made him happy.
Today Jayne created an obstacle course out of playing cards and Legos. Her goal was to verbally use codes to get through the maze to the other side using her Rudolph figurine. Next time we meet, she will apply those codes to Dash the robot, to see if she can get out of the maze. We ended our session with playing a round of Kahoot trivia on the iPad.
Dylan finished up his last storyboard creation. We printed the final product and it's on his wall. He is very proud of all the finished stories. Then we created an obstacle course out of playing cards and Legos. His goal was to verbally used codes to get through the maze to the other side. Next time we meet, he will apply those codes to Dash the robot, to see if he can get out of the maze.
Charlie worked on using his middle fingers to travel to the letter R and letter L. He is speeding right through these lessons with precision. He then worked on his Weebly website, adding more text and images. He is going to work on it at home as well because he wants to spend more time on it.
Jayne is doing really well on her typing lessons. She has completed all the letters in the homerow. I would LOVE to see her continue typing on her own or with another teacher once this quarter is over. She then completed a puzzle with Dash. She loves that robot!
Today we started off with typing. I told Dylan we would do a lesson for 10 minutes. About 5 mintes into the typing lesson he broke down and gave up. I am not sure Dylan is ready to learn typing. He is overly concerned about being perfect and not making mistakes, but on the otherhand, he wishes he knew how to type so it wouldn't be so difficult searching for the letters on the keyboard. He may be more ready next year for it.
We then continued to create his storyboard about a rescue mission. He really enjoys using the storyboard online program.
