Spencer and I worked together to paint the exterior wall of his display case. Spencer was given time to complete touch ups on the internal wall of the case.
Last day of school and everyone was excited. A peer was playing Rummikub with another teacher and we were invited play. It was a good final lesson in sportsmanship, following the rules, and how to compete but still be kind when playing with peers.
Last activity of the school year called for a cooking project, making ice cream in a bag. Student had to plan, set up, make the recipe and clean up. It was a fun way to practice some of the language and executive functioning skills that we worked on all year.
With the end of the school year, Spencer wanted to revisit some of our favorite games to decide which was the best. While playing the games, we practiced our word list and discussed good sportsmanship.
Spencer wanted to talk about cars and look at different race cars. We named and described many different cars using a large selection of descriptive vocabulary and strong /r/ sounds.
Spencer seen at school for an hour treatment session. Focus of treatment was on improving his executive function, fine motor skills (dexterity and manipulation) and graphomotor skills. Spencer was happy today since it was the last day of the school year. Session consisted of wrapping up what he focused on during the school year and OT and child discussed how he can practice writing in script over the summer and in the future. He did well this school year and made several gains with his manipulation and dexterity abilities. He appears to be naturally athletic and would benefit from organized sports which would satisfy his need for movement and help him with focus. It has been a pleasure working with Spencer this school year.

Spencer and I worked on a painting that he had started in another class of two cars and spider man. We picked out the colors and began to mix to create the colors of spider man. We then finished adding colors to the cards.
