Joshua opened his Photoshop file and we continued working on his Indy Car Driver composition project. We were able to add text, car and tone to the image.
Unit 7- Short fiction /longer synthesis /character/setting
Lesson Outline
We analyzed epiphany as a catalyst for character development in the story"The Cathedral". Joshua had handed in an essay on the story which we reviewed as he had difficulty in gleaning the story's theme and irony that illustrates how a blind man teaches a sighted man how to "see" or at least experience faith or God. We first located textual evidence evidencing the main character's initial hostility toward the blind man followed by exploring the event or epiphany that changes the man's character and enables him to "see" only with his eyes closed.. Joshua will rewrite his essay for homework based on class instruction.
Discuss the thermodynamics of the heat of fusion. Define heat of fusion and molar heat of fusion. Distinguish between the positive and negative results, between endothermic and exothermic results. Show examples of how to calculate the heat of formation of a chemical reaction, use the formula that the heat of formation is determined by subtracting the heat of products from the heat of reactants using a balanced equation. Solve example problems
Spring Tension lab-Action and reaction. Verification of Newton's law, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The reaction force magnitude is equal to the action force magnitude
