In this activity, Finley completed half of the calculator portion of the exam. She is showing consistent improvement but completing the test in the allowable time is still difficult for Finley.
Reviewed Finley's practice test results. She revised her responses to answer accurately and explained why the correct answer was the best. Then, she completed grammar work for the PSAT exam. She performed well on the grammar work with little difficulty. I provided strategies for her to complete the PSAT with success.
In this activity, Finley was two problems short of completing the non calculator portion of the exam. Finley is definitely showing improvement and more confidence.
Introductions, goals, and practice. Finley read one SAT passage and answered 7/10 correctly. Her errors were in vocabulary and evidence-based practice. When asked for the second best answer, she answered correctly and understood her errors. She will practice the remaining reading passages for homework and the set of writing practice.
In this activity, We completed a non calculator portion of the exam using the newest Princeton review and started the calculator portion, but only completed a few problems.
In this activity, Finley completed a short but difficult online practice exam where calculators are permitted. Most of Finley's questions have to do with quadratic equations.
This was my last tutoring session with Finley. She wanted to complete part of a practice test with me in the room so she could discuss her PSAT strategies. She only missed one question and was worried about it, but I reminded her she did not need to get a perfect score on the test. Finley feels more confident in her reading and is reminding herself to focus, even with reading passages that don't interest her. As long as she focuses on the reading passages, Finley will do well on the test.

Finley is an excellent student and learned new reading and test taking strategies from our tutoring sessions.
In this activity, Finley continues to work on her online exam. She came to the session armed with homework questions first. She is well organized and doing well. She continued working through the exam and usually discussed strategies after most of the problems.
In this activity, Finley also started a new online PSAT practice exam. Finley has not taken geometry yet, so we move slower through the exam, spending more time on strategies and explanations.
