Atticus opened Adobe XD, opened his anime project and we used it as the template to create his new project, Divine Projects. Atticus imported his logo to the home page, updated the name for the project, and added an Enter button. Atticus updated his categories, and searched for images to add to his project.
Atticus and I reviewed this weekend's homework on graphing inequalities and readdressed how to graph the solutions of inequalities involving greater than or less than compared to greater than or equal to and less than or equal to. Then, Atticus applied the lesson's concepts to solving real-world word problems. For homework, Atticus is to use inverse relationships to write and solve addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division equations to prepare for the unit test.
Class discussion centered on developing our second theme , the changing relationship between the two main characters, Omri and Patrick. We first discussed how Patrick betrayed Omri's trust and then addressed how Patrick demonstrated that notwithstanding his prior conduct, he was a good friend . We worked on making inferences from the text connoting the reconciliation . Additionally, we gleaned from the text , Boone's historical time period and discussed the time travel elements of the novel's fantasy. In the final session segment, we reviewed Atticus' last quiz .Atticus corrected spelling errors and sentence fragments. Last, Atticus completed a quiz on the chapters 10-12.
Atticus completed an activity on map skills and charting, demonstrating his ability to read a map, and answer questions pertaining to the map. He completed a "Let's Write," activity explaining what he would leave behind in a tomb. He wrote about ancient Egyptian society and explained the roles each group had.
Atticus and I began painting his canvas. We worked on mixing different shades of blue to start the base colors of his clown fish and painted the first layer.
Today, Atticus read about the nervous system. He underlined the following key terms and illustrated them in his science notebook: nervous system, neurons, central nervous system, spinal cord, peripheral nervous system.
