Carson completed the lab "Create a Magnet" which experimented with magnetizing a nail. He recorded his data and answered the follow-up questions. He read about magnetic domains and analyzed the diagrams of magnetic domains. He read about temporary and permanent magnets, completed the 3-Dimensional Thinking and Collect Evidence D. He read the text "A Closer Look: Magnetic Migration" which discusses animals' use of Earth's magnetic field to migrate. I asked follow-up questions.
On yesterday's assessment, Linear functions were a topic that Carson scored lower on, so we will be reviewing this content until Carson feels comfortable with it. I gave Carson a mixed review activity. We first started with finding slope: using the graph, using points, and from the equation. Then we practiced graphing the lines in slope intercept form.
