Kaitlin was online today, so we used this sewing class as an extra English class. We reviewed all her spelling words, Wordly Wise words and their definitions, and she presented her Wordly Wise creative writing story.

Since we couldn't sew online we used this as an extra English class. We reviewed her spelling and Wordly Wise words in preparation for Friday's test. We explored the author's intent in each of the three poems we read earlier. She determined that Walt Whitman's poem was more easy going, that Emily Dickinson's poem was more shy, and that they both demonstrated self confidence. She decided she liked Walter de la Mare's best because his was the most optimistic.
