Liam and I began our session with a calendar activity - identifying the month, day of the week, date, time, weather, and his feelings. Liam then completed a warm-up activity focusing on math skills. Liam and I then reviewed Topic 5 Assessment: Multiply and Divide within 100. Liam did excellently - receiving a 93%. Liam completed a vocabulary review activity - reviewing vocabulary such as addend, array, equal groups, and multiply. Lastly, Liam completed ten minutes on Math Prodigy - focusing on addition to 1000, specifically solving in standard and expanded form.

Liam wrote his new vocabulary words and their definitions into his notebook. He had to look up the words and their definitions in the glossary using ABC order and guide words at the top of the page. He then read the story, "The Impossible Pet Show." He learned that this story was classified as a realistic fiction. He wrote the definition of a realistic fiction into his notebook. He wrote down the story details and the story's point of view from the main character's view point. He learned the different parts of a letter. He answered in writing comprehension questions about a letter he read.
