Teddy named, and sang, his two favorite songs "Mama's Said Knock You Out" (LL Cool J) and "Sweet Dreams." We looked them up and listened to the first on YouTube as he could not remember the lyrics or melody to "Sweet Dreams, my guess that it was the well-known song by the Eurythmics was incorrect. When I played it, Teddy sang some the lyrics, primarily the refrain, and when I questioned him on how he knows it, he replied that his mother plays it for him, "how else would I know it?" I wished Teddy a great summer and he politely thanked me for the punch balloons I gave him and Libby.

I was asked to sub for Kevin this afternoon, 5-23-25, from 1:23 - 2:08.
Libby is very musical! She sat down at the drums and immediately set a beat for herself. We talked a bit about what music she likes to listen to and she ended up playing along to quite a few songs! She did an excellent job following the beat and responding musically when the song would rise and fall in energy or get quieter or softer. She even sang a little bit while playing some of her more well known songs. We played a bunch of songs by Luke Bryan and a couple by John Denver.
We talked about how songs are using music to tell stories. We listened to some songs and talked about the stories they told. We discussed how songs can tell sad, happy, or even funny stories. Then, we played some music on the guitar and made up some lyrics to tell our own stories.
