I did a review of game mechanics for video games. I gave Ben a reference sheet of optional game mechanics that he could use for his game. Ben completed the first three mechanics for his game, I reviewed each and made the necessary corrections.
Ben and I discussed mood boards and how they relate to the video game creation process. Ben was instructed to find and download eight to ten images that relate to the look, feel, color, and design that he is looking for in his game. I opened a Photoshop template, Ben imported his images, and he added titles and descriptions for three of his first eight images.
Topic 8 Solve Problems Involving Surface Area and Volume
Lesson Outline
Topic 8-1 Find Surface Area of Three-Dimensional Figures – We learned to use the Pythagorean Theorem to find unknown sides of a triangle. We understand that this only applies to right triangles. We learned that the inverse operation of squared terms is to take the square root. We practiced decomposing three-dimensional shapes into nets and finding the area of each surface.
Assignment: Complete assigned problems for homework.
