Jase and I started class by finishing his still life drawing. We then went over the rules for the Artigras competition and the theme. Jase and I then brainstormed ideas and collected reference photos.

Jase's mother sent me a note asking for him to take his spelling test after Thanksgiving. She asked me to do the one oral reading that is expected from the reading teacher. I wrote back, agreeing with her about doing the spelling test after Thanksgiving. I asked her to find out how Abeka wants the oral reading scored.

Jase needs more practice on this spelling list, so we will work on it more after the break. I sent home the skill sheets and the page with the scores I have kept on his tests and skill sheets. I sent home copies of the stories that he needs to read orally for Abeka.
Jase and I continued to work on his still life drawing. He learned the different types of charcoal and how to use them. He also learned how to blend and shade with charcoal.
Jase participated with the spelling video and reviewed how to add s to words. He participated with the reading video, completing a Skill Sheet and beginning to read the next portion of the book.
