We concluded our study of Kafka's Metamorphosis in today's session. On the board, I traced the metamorphosis of both Gregor, the protagonist, and of his family. We discussed how Gregor maintains his humanity despite his outward change while his family becomes less human, less humane, and more selfish . We thus explored ,"Who is the real bug or animal?" We noted how Gregor's longing for the nourishment of music rather than food represents the spiritual deprivation created by modernity. We last examined the family's relief ,almost joy, over Gregor's death again evidencing their loss of humanity even while Gregor maintains his love for them.

The teacher introduced the pronunciation of the letters j and g in Spanish. The teacher explained the pronunciation rules for these letters and provided examples. The teacher pronounced several words aloud, and the student repeated them to practice correct pronunciation. Afterward, the teacher conducted a dictation activity to reinforce the sounds and spelling. Finally, the teacher and the student read a conversation together to practice pronunciation and fluency in context.
