Libby did a great job measuring ingredients and following the recipe. She very much enjoyed getting creative with the decorations using different kinds of frosting, sprinkles, mini marshmallows and fresh strawberries to customize each cupcake.

Libby was extremely focused and a hard worker today. She requested to complete numerous timed adding 1 within 10 addition pages, which she did with perfect accuracy. Then, we worked on the number 12, which was modeled with base ten blocks, tens frames, and by coloring objects, and Libby reviewed the number 11 by tracing the numeral and number word. Finally, Libby answered cumulative review questions on counting, writing, and comparing 0 through 5.

She competed against a peer and aimed to beat her own personal best performing visual-motor exercises (aiming to get different sized balls in a basket, competing in a wheelbarrow race, and a timed climbing exercise. It was a fun and productive session, and she got an invigorating workout while executing fun challenges.

Today's lesson was on counting, reading, and writing 11 and 12. Libby used base ten cubes to model these numbers with one tens stick and 1 or 2 ones. Then, she colored in pictures of base ten blocks, tens frames, and objects to model 11 and 12. Finally, Libby solved addition problems on adding 1 more with sums to 10.
