I subbed in Kaitlin's art class today. We began watching Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado."

Today Aiden worked towards completing his sculpting project. He was worried about finishing it quickly so that we can begin the next assignment but it's looking really great and I can see that he has an eye for detail so we are going to dedicate another class or two to this assignment as needed because I think that will really allow him the time to take it to the next level. He finished sculpting the figure's hands today and made significant progress on the garments. He has an excellent technique for sculpting fur texture and has excellent research skills for finding design reference.

Today's class was dedicated to bringing David's sculpture project to near completion. We were able to cut the sword design out of clay and complete the finishing touches on the model's hands, but class ended right before we could bake the figure in the kiln. We will begin the next class with baking the model and begin work on the next project.

Aiden brought positive energy to the session. He continued work on his ongoing sculpture, concentrating on refining the musculature of the back. We reviewed muscle groups to ensure anatomical accuracy.

The primary objective of class was for David to advance his sculpture as much as possible in preparation for a new assignment. The session focused on sculpting the hands and troubleshooting the design and construction of the sword. David displayed strong problem-solving skills during the sculpting process.

David is working on finalizing an ongoing sculpting project and shared impressive drawings related to a video game concept he is developing. His current assignment involves completing the coloring of a small book he's been working on, which covers various decades. He is keen on enhancing his digital art skills. David shows strong artistic skills and dedication to both traditional and digital mediums. Future sessions could emphasize digital art tools and techniques to support his growth in this area.

Aiden shared his passion for miniatures, both in painting and sculpting. He is deeply interested in concept art, especially within the fantasy genre. His goals include improving his 2D sketching abilities, experimenting with charcoal illustrations, and refining his digital rendering techniques. Aiden is currently finishing an ongoing sculpting project.

Libby learned how to draw a bunny and a bat following step by step directions.
