Today, JPaul created a digital leadership vision board. He was given a "scavenger hunt" list of items to include on the board. He included pictures and quotes to clarify his leadership goals, aspirations, and guiding principles. It serves as a visual representation of his vision for his future, providing a clear roadmap to achieve his leadership objectives. Awesome job!
During the session, we encountered three logic problems that required us to push the boundaries of conventional thinking. JPaul did a great job with this. It was evident that he wanted to keep going to figure out the solution.
We watched Steve Jobs' commencement speech and discussed the quote, "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice." JPaul listed 5 people that have influenced his life and discussed the best piece of advice each one has had.
It was great meeting JPaul today. He said that I can call him JP. We found some commonalities as I am also from Ohio. I grew up in Akron. My family has always been huge Cleveland Indians fans, so it was very interesting to learn about JP's grandfather.
JP mentioned that he's interested in business and would like to learn more about the marketing aspect. This class will provide a good intro to marketing.
