Define a series circuit and relate it to the circuit used in the Ohm's law lab. Using a series of examples, determine that in a series circuit the total resistance is the sum of all the resistances in the circuit. Define measuring voltage across a resistance and with a given voltage and known resistances, determine the voltage drop across each resistor and note that the total voltage in the circuit is the sum of the voltages across each resistor. Show that if the circuit is not complete, all bulbs will extinguish.
