Olivia completed a final project on her own, outside of normally scheduled class time. She created a presentation that analyzed the economics surrounding her decision to go to college and have a part-time job. She demonstrated her understanding of personal finance/budgeting, opportunity cost, and resource allocation.

As Nicole and I discussed, this is how we're accounting for an assignment that was to make up for 5 hrs that were still pending. *Please note* the system forced me to put a minimum of 15mins. It wouldn't allow me to put 0.
The plan was to review trigonometric functions on the special angles of the unit circle and label them by degree and radian measure. I was also going to review reference angles, positive and negative angles, and angles greater than one revolution. There was a miscommunication about the class schedule so Olivia did not attend. There was no assignment.

Originally, I was not going to try to teach Olivia today, but Nicole's chat that I read this morning informed me that I was scheduled to teach both Olivia and Taylor today and I was not informed otherwise.
In our last lesson before tomorrow's final exam, we discussed how the fate of characters illustrates the naturalist genre. Olivia discussed the metaphorical significance of the narrator's anecdote about allowing ants on a campfire log to perish without regret or thought. We then picked out dialogue in the novel further exhibiting Hemingway's fatalism in the face of life's inexorable external forces. Last, we examined the author's initial manuscripts of the novel which contain numerous alternative endings to the novel. While the author ultimately discarded these alternative endings , they highlight the novel's theme.
In preparation for Wednesday's final exam, we continued our review. We examined the following important clauses in the Constitution :Supremacy ,Full Faith and Credit, Elastic ,and Commerce . We then addressed the definition and sources of enumerated powers and reserved powers as well as the process to amend the Constitution . . Last, we reviewed the provisions and protections of the Bill of Rights.

I continued to work with Olivia on problems with angles greater than 90 degrees. We worked some problems to find the different trigonometric functions of angles according their quadrants. I showed her how to use the Pythagorean trigonometric functions to solve for various functions of different angles. There was no assignment.

Olivia told me that her parents had a meeting with you about the remaining hours in Olivia's schedule. She said that as long as her teachers were satisfied that she had completed the course content, that
the hours could be considered satisfied. I am willing to sign off that Olivia has fulfilled the requirements of the course.
Olivia presented a well thought out analysis of the 2019 US Supreme Court case examining whether , pursuant to the "free exercise "clause of the First Amendment, a bakery could refuse to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple . We examined the two competing legal principles -anti-discrimination laws and the "free exercise clause" ,and discussed whether the Court's decision to remand the case for further proceedings favoring the bakery would have been different if the religious beliefs of the bakery had been founded upon a less established religion such as Satanism, or witchcraft idolatry rather than Christianity . We then began our review for next week's final exam. I discussed the influence of Enlightenment philosophers on the Declaration of Independence , separation of powers, and checks and balances.
