Yanuell described for me the subjects he is discovering in his language arts class. We discussed Tartarus, a deep abyss that was used as a dungeon of torment and suffering for the wicked, primarily the Titans. I told him the story of Sisyphus, who was doomed to a life in Tartarus, where he cold escape only if he could push a boulder to the top of the mountain. Every time Sisyphus pushed the boulder near the top, Zeus would move it to one side, and it would fall back down into the abyss. A Sisyphean job is one that has no end. Yanuell and I used the remaining time to list jobs that could be described as sisyphean.
