Lesson Topic
WADE testing for Wilson Evaluation END OF YEAR 6.2019
Lesson Outline
Dylan worked on the beginning of the WADE testing for Wilson. He completed the consonant, vowels, digraphs, and welded sounds sections. Dylan read sight words. The teaching guidelines for stopping the test is after the student misses five words in a row. Dylan was able to read four out of fourteen words. He was able to spell two out of nine words. Dylan will still be tested on the reading and spelling of real words. When he was spelling, he flipped the f, g, q, and b/d. I explained to Dylan that we will be working harder on forming habits to replace the old habits he has. The implementation of interventions needs to come automatically. On a test like this, I was not able to remind and coach. Dylan is still excited about moving through Book 2. I hope that we will do some good work over the summer.

Lesson Comments
Dylan has trouble remembering and applying interventions. When not coached by me, he resorts to old habits. He needs more intensive training over the summer and next year.
