We began the class with a review and discussion of current, government-related news stories. Next, we spent time reviewing and discussing the terrorist attacks of 9/11. The subsequent events and changes to our government's organization were reviewed and discussed. The Constitution's creation and principles were then presented, reviewed and discussed. Federalism was the main topic discussed highlighting the separation of powers to national and state governments. GT was interested and involved throughout.
