Lesson Outline
Today we conducted a mock interview between a therapist and a client. During the session we discussed the process to welcome a client, working to make them feel comfortable and willing to discuss their purpose for coming in to the office. I explained the initial meeting and interview is where the therapist conducts the "intake"and from the intake a report is generated. Following each session a report is generated. Next class we will discuss the report and at what point a diagnosis would be generated.

Abby was engaged and expressed liking the format for the class today. She served as the role of client. Next week we will review the mock report and then she will take on the role as therapist asking questions and taking notes. She was asked to continue writing in her journal and reminded to share only what she is comfortable sharing. Great class today!
