Even thou we couldn't attend a TEA ceremony, Abby and I had a great time walking around, chatting and enjoying the gorgeous nature view at the Morikami Gardens.
In this activity, Abby worked on the applications of the derivatives portion of the exam. These applications included, optimization, estimations using differentials, and absolute max and min.
In this activity, Abby reviewed the concepts of limits by looking at graphs or using algebraic techniques. These limits were at a number and the exercise used right and left hand limits to determine general limits.
In this activity, Abby reviewed the rules of determining derivatives of functions that require the product rules or the quotient rule. This activity also required these derivatives to be simplified.
In this activity, Abby determined derivatives of logarithmic functions of base e and bases other than base e. Bases other than e require an extra step.
In this activity, Abby determined derivatives of exponential equations of base e at first and then derivatives of bases other than base e. Derivatives of exponentials other than base e have an extra step.
Abby and I wrapped up the body system as she learned the last body system, the immune system and its important relation to nutrition. We finished up the class with a yoga routine focused on the opening of the hips and hamstrings.
Abby and I talked about her yoga/nutrition assignments as discussed with Judie, and one more field trip possibility. We also worked on endocrine system and it's relation to nutrition.
