Lesson Topic
velocity and acceleration of object in free fall.
Lesson Outline
An example of an object tossed up from rest, allowed to reach its apex, and then travel down was used. Describing the motion in both directions would be part of the lesson. How to determine the velocity at given times in the upward travel and the downward travel, along with the distance covered would be determined by realizing that the velocity up would equal the velocity down for the same period of elapsed time. The formulas would be used to determine the velocity up after 1,2, and 3 seconds, and the velocity down after 4sec(which is 1 sec down from the apex), 5 seconds ( 2 sec down) and so on. The acceleration of gravity is known so the distance traveled can be calculated
