Lesson Outline
The session commenced following a brief outdoor activity with peers. Social greeting was conveyed with a pleasant affect. Conversation expanded quickly, as a multitude of topics were discussed. Ben initiated discussion regarding his haircut, allowing for expanded reciprocity and strong use of contingent responses to comments, and an excellent segue into perspective taking.
The "thinking game " challenge was once again utilized, allowing for opportunities to support awareness of gestural and facial cues as well as expanded use of varied intonation to indicate intent.

As the session commenced, Ben appeared to be in a positive mood and was very conversational.
As the "thinking game "activity was underway, ( he really enjoys this activity) which involves recall of assorted facts, comparisons etc., his sudden apparent frustration of my "lack" of knowledge in an area , such as reptiles was evident. He suddenly grabbed his head, pulled at his hair, and
actually raised his hand in the air as if he was preparing to strike me. I quickly backed away, as I verbalized an understanding that he was clearly frustrated with my lack of knowledge regarding reptiles. He calmed quickly, although he was clearly now disinterested and agitated. Session closure followed shortly thereafter. Cal had sought me out to inquire about the session, and I shared these details with him.
