Lesson Outline
Cabo knew that part of the session would be devoted to a school-wide holiday activity. We talked about using the time we had until the activity started productively to minimize homework time at home. Cabo had history, language arts and math homework. He was quite adamant that he wanted to start with history because it was the most interesting to him. He did finish his history assignment and then joined the other students for the holiday activity.

With Cal’s permission, Cabo declined to work on limericks with his friends. He did go in to join in in making the holiday slime, but quickly joined the boys outside playing.
