Today was the first session of the abbreviated Study Skills class (now 30 minutes long). Kaitlyn was very well focused and we reviewed her successful Quiz on Buddhism and Islam and then discussed causes and effects of the 911 terrorist attacks.

Lesson Outline
Finding a quiet space and turning off electronic devices will help us avoid losing focus. Mixing up the modes of learning between visual, audio, and hands-on activities will help us recall what we’ve learned later on. Asking questions of a teacher, parent, or tutor for clarification on difficult concepts will help to clear any confusion you might have. Physically writing out notes by hand improves your understanding and memorization of the material.
