Organelles -
GT was challenged with a cell exploration activity. First step was to draw a bacteria cell in his notebook, and then find and label the parts using a cell biology website for assistance. Next GT was asked to describe the organelles he had added to his science notebook during our last class. For each organelle, he was asked to discover their size, and function, using his notes and the cell biology website as references. Continuing on with the project, GT compared and contrasted plant and animal cells, listing their differences and making a Venn- diagram. When the activity was complete, we discussed the functions of the organelles in more detail. Homework: prepare for a test in our next class.
