Lesson Topic
types of waves
Lesson Outline
Using diagrams and demonstrations, a transverse wave was described in terms of direction of energy motion and particle medium motion. The particles move perpendicular to the motion of the wave. The definition and examples of longitudinal waves were shown using diagrams and demonstrations, showing that with this type of wave the particles move parallel to the direction of the wave. Examples of this wave are sound waves. Both constructive and destructive interference was presented as waves in phase and out of phase meet at a point. The resultant wave was drawn in both cases.
