Abby and I discussed the sections of the book that she had completed for homework. We answered the accompanying study guide questions. We continued reading some of the book silently, and then we discussed possible themes that have started to appear. We also discussed characterization. We then completed several lessons in the vocabulary book. Abby does quite well with the difficult words. We are almost finished with the 11th grade volume , and we are going to begin the 12th grade volume which will assist in her preparations for the SAT. Abby is to read more of the novel for homework.
