Lesson Outline
Ben clearly indicated that he was not happy that it was Monday as the session commenced. Conversation was rapidly redirected to topics specifically chosen to support Ben's interests.
Casual card games such as UNO were utilized today as a tool to engage interest while simultaneously encouraging conversational expansion with a primary focus on the aspects of perspective taking, and presupposition. Once again, activities highlighting indirect language were presented. Supports were provided, however, were met with resistance, as many of his responses to various stimuli were highly literal and his frustration tolerance was variable today. Gentle encouragement, redirection and support were provided throughout the session.

Lesson Comments
Ben's affect and behavior continue to be highly variable. Strategies to support him that had been successful weeks ago are no longer effective. His use of flippant, sarcastic, and extremely condescending language continues to escalate. His willingness to participate in activities is weaning as well. Cal has been extremely supportive these past weeks, and I greatly appreciate his casual "check in "during the session. Knowing that Cal is readily available to assist should the need arise is comforting.
