Lesson Outline
Today's lesson plan discussed natural resources, which was defined as a substance found in the Earth naturally. We discussed the importance of water, plants, and soil. Jonathan understands that plants provide us with food and oxygen to help us breathe. We discussed how plants also make and protect soil, feed animals, shelter animals and are used to make clothes and many medicines. We spoke about how soil contains important nutrients that plants and humans need to stay alive, and that it helps plants retain (store) the moisture needed to grow. Finally, we discussed the importance of water and learned that water is the most essential natural resource that the Earth gives us. Jonathan correctly stated that people can live longer without food than water.
