Session Date
Lesson Topic
Diary of a Spider
Lesson Outline
Jonathan started his lesson by listening to a video on a book called Diary of a Spider. We reviewed the facts that spiders are not insects. We learned that spiders help to keep the insect population balanced. Jonathan knew that a spider is an Arachnid and not an insect. He told me that a spider has eight legs and an insect has six legs. Jonathan worked on a short essay about spiders. We discussed how the spider makes the web. Jonathan did research with me about how the web comes from a special sac on the abdomen of the spider. Jonathan volunteered to finish his essay and add a drawing after our class today.
