Religion: We wrapped up our lesson on The Three Days today with Jonathan matching the pictures to statements about praying to the cross, remembering that Jesus gave himself to us, and how we remember our Baptism. Jonathan then took his Unit 3 test in which he scored a 9/10. He matched phrases to complete a sentence and then he marked statements indicating whether or not they reflected Baptism or Penance. Language Arts: This morning we finished our journey with Jack and Annie in our novel, Afternoon on the Amazon! We read how we they escaped danger with the help of a monkey and were given a mango as the second (of 4) items needed to help Morgan le Fay get released from the spell she is under. We made predictions throughout our reading. Jonathan practiced his spelling words from the novel in preparation for his test in our next session. We then had fun with a crossword puzzle reviewing vocabulary from the book such as crackling, conservation, and climate. Finally, we reviewed alliteration and had fun thinking of creative ways to call each day of the week.
